The NEW Bomb the Music Industry! album is in the process of being written and recorded. It is called CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY SHUT THE f*ck UP. That title was stolen from my friend Sierra. Sorry, Si. It's taking a little while because there's a lot of piano on this one and I have no idea how to play the piano.

I think Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is the dumbest band name ever, so I'm naturally tickled by the album title.

I like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth is a good song but my favorite off that album is In this Home on Ice.

And to forget yourself is to see everything else. And to see everything else is to become an understanding molecule in evolution, a conscious tool of the universe...[not] unconscious or zonked out, I'm talking about being fully conscious...the Grateful Dead should be sponsored by the government or something. It should be a public service, you know, and they should set us up to play at places that need to get high."-Jerry Garcia, 1972

I see the light come shining, from the west down to the east.
Any day now, any day now, I shall be released.

there are two new-ish songs on bombthemusicindustry.com in the demos section as well as "tell my boss i hate you" which i didn't know was there.

and if you go to the BTMI myspace, there's an awesome cover of Infamous Jakes and the Pinstripe Mafia's "If Assholes Got Awards, I'd Have A Trophy Case" up to be streamed.

It's less of a cover and more of a tribute to DLG, but regardless, Jeff took a really, really amazing song and made it his own and definitely did it justice.
