This saturday, Feb.4th, Monty Alexander will be performing with a trio at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning ,NY. He called my show today around 330pm. i caught monty alexander and earnest ranglin on tour together in auckland new zealand when i was over there. absolutely amazing show. monty alexander is such a great pianist. i know lately he's been stickin to straight jazz- any idea what kinda show this is gonna be? regardless i think i may want to drive out to this show.

At the glass museum?!!? WTF. I've never heard of concerts there, has anyone else? Far be it for me to question unorthodox venues, but that's a new one on me.

Next up: Hobo Slobo will be performing this Friday at 7pm in the produce section of the Wegmans in DeWitt. No cover, but you're requested to buy bananas for the homeless.

And the Emersons, by popular request, will be playing in the parking lot of the nursing home up the street next Sunday morning.
