According to Bedouin Soundclash's website, their record label and their agent, they will open for G. Love & Special Sauce on Thursday, February 23rd.

Tickets are $25 via TicketBastard or Aaron's Alley.

NO EFFING WAY!

Are you sure?
Holy hell.

Screw going to Philly to see Johnny.
He'll be here in a second if it's to see Bedouin.

Oh yay!
This is AWESOME news.
:D

The office at Water Street says there are no openers for that show, but I called Bedouin's agent, and she says they were added to the bill within the last few days. (She also said doors at 8, BSC on at 9, while the venue office said doors at 7. Of course, if you listened to them on my show with The Know How, you would've missed the BurTones and half of The Expired set. :P)

So I would conclude that word hasn't trickled down to Water Street yet.

I'll let you know if I turn anything else up.

In other news, while I was in Buffalo, I picked up an alt-rock radio station from Toronto, and they ran an ad for (guess what) Sounding A Mosaic. Later that day, I talked to Dave from Mechatama, and apparently they've sold out shows all over the place up north.

25 bucks is too steep for one band.

Yeah, Bedouin is HUGE these days in Canada.
I have some friends up in Toronto there that are determined to get out to see them eventually, but they've yet to be able to buy tickets to a show that's close to them. And with Bedouin doing all that touring in the US and the UK lately, it looks like it'll be a while until they'll get the chance to try for it again.

Oh man. I'm super stoked though. I just need to get a hold of Johnny and figure out if he'll drive up for that or whatever, and then I'm buying my tickets. I reeeeeally hope not everyone knows about it and that it doesn't sell out before I finally scrounge up the money to get tickets..

Ahhhhhhh.
I'm so excited!!

Teehee.
I feel like a little girl fawning over a poster of her favorite movie actor. I'm all bubbly, and smiling from ear to ear, and giggling.
HAH.

It is a bit steep.

But I like G. Love just enough to make it worthwhile.

Psh.
I've driven to MD and paid $70 on top of that just to see Heart play.
Of course the opening act, Joey Eppard of 3 (on Planet Noise Records and from Kingston, NY), was AMAZING.

Totally worth it. It was a greeeeeat show.
Of course, my Mom broke her ankle dancing and my sister fell down stairs and cried. But that's okay, because I had fun.

Heh.
What can I say? I'm a hardcore fan.

Tickets went on sale almost a month ago, and they're still available.

G. Love plays the Music Hall regularly, but that can fit about 1000 people. Dunno how close to selling out they've come.

So it's a good idea, but not absolutely critical. :P

For serious.
I can not get ENOUGH of them.

I'm *almost* tempted to take my Billie Holiday CDs out of my stereo right now and put in some BSC. But for emotional reasons, the Billie Holiday is staying.

Blah, blah, blah. I paid upwards of $200 once to see a band twice in a weekend. [Not by choice, I ran into some unfortunate circumstances.]

That being said, $25 is WAY too much to see them play an opening set.

There's a huge difference between NIN and BSC. NIN fills arenas, BSC is opening a show at Water St.
