Someone just asked me about this and I'm far too out of the loop in Tennessee now to know whats going on anymore ...

Several of you have been talking to Ben lately -- is he looking to do another one in 2009 or is he looking to let it die off? I feel very badly I couldn't go this year, but its very uncool to blow off your own show and I didn't realize that conflict originally.

If Ben does it again in 2009, I'll try harder to make it down again. I actually liked the last lineup better than previous years, because I'm mostly interested in seeing new bands.

So, what do some of you know about this?

he mentioned something about possibly moving it to thrashville. that'd be pretty cool. knoxville sucks.

Didn't he bring up the previous year moving it to Nashville as well? Seeing that he's been living there now and not in Knoxville, I can see why he'd feel that way. But I don't think Nashville is so much more exciting than Knoxvegas to make a real difference on the turnout.

I really enjoyed Knoxville, actually. Beautiful city. Unfortunately we never stopped in Nashville when we were on tour, but i'm sure it rules just as hard.

I'm excited to see what Ben will do this coming year for Ska Weekend. Such an amazing event this past summer.

I heard it's being scaled back tremendously next year. According to rumors, it's going to be Taj Motel Trio playing in Ben's backyard, and it's now on a weeknight.

Ska Wednesday '09!

I thought it was scaled back this last time to make it bigger for the next one? Burgers and dogs at a state park w/ Matt Wixson and his penis (most of the admission price will go to cover Matt's penis' guarantee)

But wait... I don't get this at all haha. Are you making fun of me? Are you saying I have a notoriously expensive penis?

My penis must sneak out and entertain people when I'm asleep or something. It doesn't do much entertaining while I'm conscious.

Uh....

Agreed.

But for the record, I'm still wondering the deal on 2009 ...

ask ben maybe? As far as bands that would know, it'd probably be best to ask AKA Rudie, Taj, Stuck Lucky, or The Hits.
