Yay frat boy reggae rock!
These guys are total dude bros and do not interest me at all, they should be touring with OAR not Catch 22.

They're pretty lame. I never understood how they pulled opening spots on a lot of big tours, but they do it pretty consistently. Apparently they were also douches to the Tsunamis on their current tour, which makes us mortal enemies (the story is a pretty amusing read: http://www.ctska.com/yabb/index.php/topic,25672.0.html)

However, I did get into a sold-out Mad Caddies show they opened by convincing them and their manager that I was writing for a zine and wanted to interview them, so I can't hate them too much.

To review for what? I don't recall you writing reviews.

Yeah, Florida has more or less the same sentiment. Their older stuff was pretty good b/c hornwise it was eclectic but now they're just turning themselves into a joke. The only reason I can guess that they still do big tours is their involvement with Law Records (passafire and pepper) and Jagermeister.
Except for Ricky (trumpet, also in Spitvalves), it's not even fun hanging out with the rest of the guys in the band, they always want you to smoke them out or get them drunk. The Tsunamis are good friends of mine (just played with them) but they (supervill) are d-bags to everyone.
With The Know How gone and Supervillians making themselves look stupid, its definetly time for a changing of the guard down here.

Yeah, Endive played with The Supervillians down in NYC at the Knitting Factory and they were pretty lame. On top of just sitting in there HUGE camper (and yes... they made all the bands move their vans so they could fit it in front of the venue in the middle of Manhattan) during the show, not watching any of the openers... they were also horrible.

Now I know Endive has gotten some shizzy for talking about drinking a lot... but seriously, The Supervillians take the cake when it comes to weed. Every song, every speech, every topic is about smoking. They're eyes were beat red and songs were super sloppy. Definitely could tell they were more interested in their next hit rather than their next song.

It was kind of a bummer because I was pumped to be able to see them, mostly because their bassist can really groove. He still was pretty good, but the rest of the guys were such wasted attention whores that it really took away from the show.
