Can punk/ska finally come back and stop this trend of trad ska?
Probably not but at least I can have fun at shows again!

Riverside, CA's Assorted Jellybeans have re-banded after disbanding some time ago. According to the group's MySpace page, Assorted Jellybeans were the reason that Joe and Warren from The Vandals started Kung Fu records. Drummer Richard Falomir went on to become The Aquabats’ drummer, with the alias Ricky Fitness.

No future plans have been laid out so far, so keep checking for more updates.

BTW, this "trend of trad ska" has been going for 50+ years now, so no, I don't think this will stop it.

I have the Assorted Jellybeans "What's Really Going On" 12" if you want to buy it. I think they suck but an old friend used to like them.

Also danny, that was mostly a joke. I really don't think it will or really care if trad ska gets huge.

I know it was mostly a joke. But trad ska has been on the verge of "getting big" for 50+ years now, so I'm not holding my breath now or anytime soon. That said, I strongly suspect its more popular now than its ever been before and I honestly think that should be good enough. An amazing number of bands are doing this full time now and thats about as good as it gets, regardless if the mass media ever "discovers" it.
