Just got back. What an exhausting day. And also very interesting.

For now, I just have to say between meeting Oreskaband today and then seeing them play live has only convinced me even more that they're gping to blow up in America.

I have a lot of other observations about the day, but after I get a good night of sleep first.

oreskaband were so freaking cute! I loved their set and their energy! I have really high hopes for them.

I especially liked when the trombone player was like "Thank you!" and the guy next to me was like "I WOULD DO SUCH DIRTY THINGS TO YOU!!!!" and I just looked at him like, come on guy? Really? You= Wayyyy out of her league. lulz

Cute asian girls who play horns <3 looooved itttt

i caught some of ORESKABAND from afar and i was really impressed. I sat through all of rbf set while waiting for say anything.

|the people at this event throughly sucked. I got in a fight and poured some ladies beer over her head. OH yeah and i bruised a rib.

I still had an awesome time. I was literally twelve feet from gym class heroes for the first time in years and i was even closer to Say Anything who i had only seen once before.

I got sick of smelling rank horrible pot. C'mon warped tour people...if you're going to smoke pot at least make sure its decent stuff.

PS: Some girl passed out and was getting kicked in the head during say anything and people just left her there me and some other dude had to get her over the like 6 foot barricade to an idiot security guard who tried to put dead weight on her feet and she feel face first.

I was there. Probably never going to warped tour again. Bunch of hipsters with no goddamn manners. Plus the main stage had to be the worst setup I have ever seen at a show.

With that said Oreskaband was enjoyable but nothing special. They played okay ska with some energy. That is it.

Interesting that during the course of the day I never managed to see Mike or Joe. And I was there the whole long day. :|

My favorite part of the day was meeting most of Oreskaband at their merch booth. They were thrilled that we brought them Pocky and they're as nice in person as they seem onstage. I had to laugh at all the guys hitting on them, which they seemed to find somewhat embarrassing. Like that wacky dude in the front row that liked Saki, the trumpet player.

BTW, Saki told me the movie is being released in America first, "because its an American movie". I tried to ask when, but she seemed unclear on that.

Ore was definitely the best experience I've had at Warped Tour. And the sign on their merch booth said "Lock and Loll".
Getting away from RBF and thus getting my butt handed to me, on the other hand, was not enjoyable.

FWIW, here's who I caught that day:
    The AKAs
    The Briggs
    Beat Union
    Staylefish
    Oreskaband
    Katy Perry
    Pennywise
    Street Dogs
    Reel Big Fish
    The Aggrolites

I also caught enough of Alesana to know I really don't care for their style, though they're obviously popular. :blackeye:

Did the Aggros do anything decent? IE like the first time you brought them to the 'Cuse?

the only reason katy perry is on that tour is because shes boning travis from gym class heroes.

They were in Syracuse with Devil Wears Prada the Monday before that (where I also saw them).
Warped was my 3rd or 4th time seeing them, and def. not my favorite of their sets. I feel that the show Monday was much better even though the turnout was terrible.
But during their Warped set my boyfriend and i managed to get into a nice fist fight. I hate these scenesters that think theyre tough and pick fights. It's really getting old. I seriously couldnt stand anywhere in half those crowds without getting into a fight with someone.

At least it wasnt like that for Oreskaband <3 I loved watching them play, I agree with Mike that they arent anything spectacular, but damn those girls have energy :D

There was apparently a big fight at Nassau Colliseum and a cop got trampled by a horse.

I don't know Warped is what it is, you can't complain about the crowd because you KNOW that's the way its going to be.
If you go to see say the Ergs and Steinways at a free show in a record store and those kids are there, then there are issues.
This happened to me.
Chickendude is pretty much well hated in NY (and I guess Philly since Dan Yemin always talks shit about him on stage...which is funny)
