I want to play a more punk sounding hiphop influenced reggae/ska. Samples are sick and id like fast vocals. If you play any instrument or rhyme and are interested shoot me a message.

I was immediately figuring you had Sonic Boom Six in mind from that description.

BTW, they're doing a national American tour this fall, coast to coast. First day of the tour is in little ol' Syracuse NY.

We were only offered a solo date, so I don't even know what the package is, although if it includes who I think it does, I'm fine with us not having it, honestly. We're not in the Tri-State area and bands popular in that area usually aren't popular here. Just sayin'.

I checked on this and it doesn't seem to be a big secret, so I'll just respond here ...

SB6 is flying into NYC in late Oct and will play CMJ first, except they don't know yet which day or venue. I'm told that CMJ typically doesn't tell people until a month before. Then Syracuse will be the first date of the actual tour and they'll be touring alone at that point, although we'll be putting other out of town bands on our show. Likewise, they'll do a few other Northeast dates at that point solo as well.

Then they fly out to California, where they'll team up with Chase Long Beach for awhile, until Texas, at which point they'll go solo again. They'll wind along the Gulf Coast, into Florida and then up the East Coast. The tour will end with a loop around the Tri-State area with the Pilfers and BTMI on most dates.

We love the Pilfers, don't get me wrong, but we've already been offered them twice now and we declined both times. The money they're asking for is just totally unrealistic anywhere in Upstate NY. At this point, they're just not the draw here they seem to be in the Tri-State area. Maybe that'll change over time, but that's the deal for right now. Either they need to get more popular in our area or drop the price they're asking and we'll happily take them. Whichever happens first is fine by me.

Incidentally, I'd love to get Hepcat here as well, but that seems unlikely as well anytime soon, for the same exact reasons.
