 I see that slacker show creeping in for September.

You should talk to Vic about opening with his solo stuff since Glenn sings so much these days. lol :afro:

Has Vic ever done his solo stuff to open a Slackers gig? I don't recall ever seeing that listed anywhere before, for whatever reason.

prob 'cause it would have killed him in the past- or be slackers overkill -- but I am leaning towards people not ever asking..but with Glen singing half the tunes on the new album, it may be easier to swing, especially if there was a set in between the two. It would make an awesome Vic onslaught! Not to mention a hard to miss billing to everyone who has heard his solo stuff.

Well, from a promoters viewpoint, it really doesn't make any sense. Its not like the fans of Vic's solo material aren't already there. It also may be too much for Vic in one night, as I've noticed through the years that he kind of collects his thoughts before he plays.

We've told him he's welcome to come back and do it again anytime and he seems to be interested. I think its just a matter of him scheduling it into his already busy life.

That would be like Matt Wixson opening for the Flaming Tsunamis.

In all seriousness, though, one at one festy thing in CT I played two separate solo sets (they wanted me to open and I didn't want to, so we both got our way haha), plus a set on keys with Rick Johnson Rock and Roll Machine, plus a set on keys for Hardcore Karaoke Pile-On Extravaganza (without practicing prior, but it was covers, so I managed). Of course, none of that was as good as anything Vic Ruggiero has even considered doing.
