Would you guys be as critical if he was saying the same thing of The Last Battle or The Emersons?

So he's enthusiastic. Are you all so cynical now that this now strikes you as strange behavior? :batman:

Absolutely. I had this conversation with a friend a couple of years ago. See, we played a show with Bludwulf. After the show, young kids (I'd guess 12-14) were lining up to get James' (the "brains" behind Bludwulf) autograph. I told her how ill it made me to see, especially since he's the last guy I know who needs to have his head further inflated. She replied "Oh yeah, but what would you do if some kid came up to you and said 'Oh man, Aaron, you guys are great, can I get an autograph, you're the best guitarist etc.'?" I told her (and I stand by it) that I'd tell that kid to get out more and see some more bands, 'cause I'm really not that good.

That said, I'd put us up against what I've seen of The Action! any day.

Also, leave Batman the hell out of this.

Jake is in high school, so I think he's entitled to be this enthusiastic about any band he wants. There is plenty of time to be cynical later on.

And since some of this seems directed at The Action! specifically, I'll also interject that plenty of older, critical music fans like them. That you and others don't is a pretty normal difference of opinion. I love The Slackers, but plenty of people find them boring and I'm fine with that. There is a variety of music out there specifically so everyone has something they like and I wouldn't have it any other way.

And for the record, yes, I am a fan of what The Action! does and am also looking forward to this new album. But I'd defend Jake and the band even if that wasn't the case. :rambo:
