Prom is actually fun if you want it to be.

You can't just sit in a seat and expect fun things to happen. Go out on the dance floor and have a good time.

eh, i passed up The Movielife on long island to go to my senior prom. I would much rather see The Movielife than Marathon. That, and um, my prom was definitely better than any given band. A once in a lifetime thing vs. any given band that I've probably seen before or will see again? The choice really wasn't too difficult.

But you kids can get back to your topic.

I went to one last year and I am going to two this year and I plan to have a great time at both of them.

Nothing like a night out with your friends that you just get to be completely stupid at.

I went to the senior and junior prom. Both were very awkward events soundtracked by whatever music was really popular at the time.

I don't suggest them. Unless the only time of the year you're able to get laid and get drunk is the night of the prom... then, by all means, go for it.

My ska-ish punk band did however play the school's pep rally. We figured. WHY THE f*ck NOT? It was hillariously awful. Playing in the middle of the football field to a bleachers upon bleachers filled with un-interested kids.

Although, we did have people skanking around us in a circle out in the football field.

I think Mr. Argyle's band played too. I think they played that 99 luft balloons cover song that Goldfinger covered.
