OMGZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. (heh)

So I guess The Dome put some more tickets up for sale for the Billy Joel concert yesterday.. And guess what!?!?!?!?!?!

I'M GOING TO SEE BILLY JOEL!!

My Mom heard about it while at the YMCA, and she left right away and headed straight up to The Dome and bought 4 tickets. It's amazing. I'm so excited.

Plus it doesn't start till 8, and my show will be over by 6ish, so it works out perfectly! Yay.

I'm pretty sure you're going to get a long dissertation from Danny about that.

Yeah, some people try to argue that Queens is on the island of Long Island, which is technically true. Same as pointing out that Brooklyn is in the City of New York. But everyone knows that "Long Island" refers to Nassau and Suffolk counties and "New York" or "The City" refers to Manhattan.

It's not different than if someone at the Westcott show last night said they were from "Syracuse" when they're really from Brewerton. You're just gonna get laughed at for that by the locals.

karen said exactly what i was thinking. queens is not long island despite being on the same land mass. but, yes, usually "the city" does refer to manhattan. Queens is party of New York City though. If you lived here, you'd understand the drastic culture difference (and, actually, the accent difference).

But, yeah, unimportant. I'm getting used to it.

I'm pretty excited about the Billy Joel show on Saturday. But hold on, Justine, don't you have a show of your own going on saturday? Are you skipping your own show?

I'll be there with my girlfriend and my friend Allie. We probably won't run into each other because the place is huge, but if by chance you see me, definitely say hi.

I think I've showed my ignorance to you before. :P

At any rate.. Yeah, I've got my own show that afternoon. (Which you should go to!) But my show starts at 2:30 and should be over with by 6:00 at the latest. Billy Joel doesn't start till 8:00, so it works out perfectly.

My show will end, I'll have time to show EDENPARK where Downtown Manhattans is, and maybe catch some dinner with them, then head up to The Dome for Billy Joel. The show at Downtown Manhattans doesn't start until 9pm (I think) and there's 3 bands playing that I know of, so I'm hoping that I get out of the concert around the same time that EDENPARK gets out of Downtown Manhattans.

If not they'll have directions to my house --plus they're coming up Friday night so they'll have already been there -- and my dad and little sister will be home, not to mention Johnny will be with them. Long story short: we've got it all figured out.

:D :D :D

Well, my point of reference on the whole thing was this - when I drove long haul, we got extra pay for delivering to "Manhattan and Long Island." And Queens was included in the extra pay. I realized that it was one of the 5 boroughs.

Justine, be careful. The Billy Joel show is sold out and its likely to be crazy getting to and from the Dome for the show. But I'm looking forward to your show. Its nice to relax at someone elses show for a change. :P

Oh I know it'll be crazy. And I'm excited as HELL about it.
Besides, I've already warne the guys of EDENPARK that there are going to be about a billion people in town for the concert at The Dome, so it might take a while for me to get back to them/them to get back to my house.
