hey everyone,
in today's daily orange 315 section there were write ups on both razibari sumthing and the benefits. there was also a good plug for the show this sunday. out of the 3 bands featured in the paper, 2 were ska. pretty damn good odds. i dunno where you can pick up a copy off campus, but if you're in the area today pick one up.
go go gergie signing off.

ps i was eatting lunch in cosmo's today and some lady walked in and started reading the DO. then she started to tell one of one the cooks how "this is my son!". i looked over and she was pointing at the razbari sumthin pic. crazy

Yeah, I knew the article was coming out today, but I didn't realize that The Benefits were in it too. Very, very cool. I'm unsure why that article isn't in the online edition though.

It'll be interesting to see if such a nice write-up actually leads to any more faces from SU showing up this Sunday or not. I actually spent $200+ once on ads in the DO for a Toasters show at Planet 505 and from what I could see, it resulted in maybe a dozen new faces off the campus, which was pretty disappointing. Likewise, one of our Stag Bar shows downtown once got a beautiful write-up in the Post-Standard that resulted in like 6 new faces at the show. Better than nothing, I suppose.

But yeah, more publicity on the SU campus is always welcome. :D

BTW, I'm told that was John's mom at Cosmos you saw, haha.
