Join us on March 10th to officially celebrate the release of Giant Panda Guerilla
Dub Squad's debut CD entitled "Slow Down", recorded at Ithaca, NY's infamous
Pyramid Soundand produced by the legendary Alex Perialas. The album also
features Nate Richardson of John Brown's Body on Organ & Clavinet. It's been
a long time in the making but such is necessary for such an occasion.

GPGDS has made quite a name for themselves over the past couple years, and
all without any sort of extensive promotional scheme. The music speaks for itself
and time and time again, people gather to dance and appreciate what the panda's
bring to the table; roots reggae served chilled with a side of dub salad. Tonight will
be a special night in honor of the release of their debut album entitled "Slow Down".
A lot of hard work has gone into this album so the celebration is definitely surrounded
by much anticipation and dedication.

MALANG DIABATE

Malang Diabate is a prolific kora player registered with the National Council
for Arts and Culture. He has been playing kora since childhood and because
of his dedication, has had tremendous success, being featured on recordings
with Boubacar Diebate, Bela Fleck and Dialy Kounda, among others. As a Djeli
he is personally responsible for maintaining an oral history of many generations
before him. His role is a complex one with many layers and no direct parallel in
American society. Malang will be joined March 10th on percussion by his first
cousin Jali Diabate and on guitar by Ithaca's Nate Silas Richardson of John Brown's Body.
