Yeah, I know that doesn't make any sense. But this is the fifth year, and once upon a time it was actually on Valentine's Day.


Anyhow, this is where a crapload of Rochester bands play a few love (or hate) songs each, and have a ton of fun. We share backline (amps, drums, etc), so there's very little downtime, just lots and lots of rock. Among the bands this year are the Grinders, the Blastoffs, Tom Foolery & the Shanannighans and (you guessed it) the Emersons. We'll be doing 3 Ramones tunes and a Queers song. It's going to be a hell of a good time, and I'll hope to see a couple of you guys there. It's a 9pm start at Monty's Krown, $3 at the door for 21+.

Oh yeah, and don't blink or you'll miss our whole set.

Johnny played a show with his old band that the Queers headlined last night.
It was amusing because he called me right after they finished their set and he was like "HOLY HELL WHO ARE THESE GUYS AND WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THEM!?!?!??" I laughed and said he shouldn't keep his head in the sand.

The good news about it all? Now I get to work with them first hand.
I can't wait to tell Steve Parker when he gets back and make him sooooo jealous.

I'll try to make it out, but it's gonna be tough without a car, and there are two other shows I wanna hit tonight.

Gonna have to dig out the bicycle.
