Hey, I'm Theo - I play guitar in The Waffle Stompers - and 8-piece ska-rock band out of central NJ. We are looking to go on a self-promotion tour this July and definitely want to try to land a show in Syracuse. If anybody wants to help us out (especially a band local to Syracuse) by setting up a show with us, we'd love you to death. The ideal dates would be July 12th or 14th, but we might be able to work out something else around then.

IN RETURN (aside from our undying love) we would GLADLY offer you some time down where we live, Central NJ, so you can do the same, attempt to grow a following outside of your city. Anything you can do to help us out would be really cool, and we will be more than happy to give you a hand with what we can.

Actually if you want shows in the Philly area, I'm moving there this summer, so perhaps we can work something out.

ATTENTION people who read this message board: check out this band's MP3's on myspace or pure volume and tell us what you think. Any band is much more likely to get a show here if promoters know kids will dig it.

I've talked to a couple Jersey kids and have heard an "eh" in response.

If you like their name you could go ahead and check out their music and tell us what you think as well :-D Seriously I always have to comment on these threads because it's imposible to gauge the reaction of people to random bands who ask for shows without input from the audience.

Yea no rush, I just feel silly posting the same thing everytime a band comes on here.

Hmmm... Drive Thru Pharmacy eh? I had never heard of them either, so I guess it's fair. After a listen to the myspace, I can say I like the depth in the horn opening in Imp Song demo! Well orchestrated.

And I'm not surprised you've never heard of The Waffle Stompers, we've only been around for a year. That's why we're trying to play as many places as possible with as many bands as possible - to get our name out. NJ is not a state we're overlooking - we plan to play there all summer (except the two weeks we're trying to go out of town). Heck maybe we should get together this summer.

I do see we have a common stomping ground of Hamilton Street Cafe. Perhaps we will hook up with you there sometime! Keep rocking guys!
