I notice that the Toasters w/ NYSJE are playing this place. And that its all ages and in Manhattan. And seems to book big touring acts.

Is this place going to take the place of the Knitting Factory? Anyone here been to this place yet?

I saw Dillinger 4 there over the summer. Nice big room, good sound and stage. Drinks were expensive and I got the impression that it's usually more of a "club" than a live music venue, but that's New York I guess. Other than that, it's good place to see a show.

I think it's a temporary fix while people figure out what's up with the knit. I imagine they'll keep doing ska shows at the Knit once it opens in Brooklyn, but that still leaves a gap in manhattan (more easily accessible to folks not in NY) ska shows, without version city monthly and three floors of ska.

Coincidentally, also on the bill, is westbound train, dave hillyard and the rocksteady 7, hub ciy stompers, and across the aisle.

This is jake, new guitarist for across the aisle (formerly of tap out and ctska). Show starts right at 6:30 and that's when we're on. Worth the trek down (for dave hillyard alone) if you ask me...
