Syracuse Ska Forum

The Johnstones.. anyone who hasn't yet heard of them or listened to them should go and check them out:) They are an a-flipping-mazing ska/punk band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada. They are upbeat, energetic, their live shows are unbelievably fun, and they basically define what ska/punk is all about. Yet they still manage to have a completely unique sound, so different from all the other ska bands out there! Check out their site or their myspace, its worth the few seconds it will take!:)

I don't hear the "punk" in the group.

I think it sounds quite poppy with a not so poppy sounding vocalist.

the only johnstones song i remotely enjoy is "gone for a long time", and only until the "rapping" starts. so basically, just the chorus.

And im pretty sure the thread maker is in the band lol.

okay you guys just sound seriously dumb because im not in the band haha.. im 16 years old.. and i wish i was in the band but yeah no such luck. im just promoting them, im a huge fan and I think more people should know about them.. you don't have to like them.. im just putting it out there because i really love them

I don't thinks it's just a coincidence that i see threads almost 90% identical to this one on tons of other boards.

just listened to this band for the first time. i hate when shitty bands are popular on myspace.

I hear this band is legitimately popular in Canada. Like not popular for ska, real popular.
