What's up dudes?

Want to be on a comp? Open Hand Records is putting together a compilation album called "f*ck The Economy" to prove that regardless of its value, a dollar can still buy some kick-ass music. We're asking each band for $50 to put a song on the comp. In return your band gets 50 professionally pressed copies of the compilation album to add to your merch table, as well as decent exposure to all the listeners and devoted fans of the other bands on this particular sampler! Also, as soon as we have an actual website, there will more than likely be a link to your band's site.

We're talking to bands from all up and down the East Coast, so if you're interested in this opportunity, please contact me asap!

My new band (Speak Easy) is down. When do you require all submissions by?

we're hoping to get submissions by Halloween. That way, the last few assholes will have theirs in by Thanksgiving. And we can have it pressed and out before Christmas.

recording now... this just may be doable... halloween might bit cutting it close, but it wouldn't be too much further than that.

email me some more info (where to send the stuff, who to, file type, etc) and I'll send u a couple of demo files.

Other bands from Syracuse, do this. It'll rule.

yeah seriously. a syracuse band would be a great addition to this comp. there are already interested bands/artists from:

michigan, florida, georgia, long island, new jersey, connecticut, new hampshire, ohio, and massachusetts.

get on this, guys. It usually costs around $300 to be on a comp like this.

Is this us? Or is there another band from LI?

i'll give you one guess who else from long island wants to be on a comp. haha.

I won't buy any copies, but you can use a Public Access track if you'd like.
