Syracuse Ska Forum

Just got off the phone with a girl from Chicago who is helping book shows for Malafacha from Chicago IL that plays ska-reggae-Latin. I like the way this band is planning ahead and as many of you know, this is a style of ska that I like a LOT.

They're looking to hop on some Northeast US shows this fall sometime, so hit them up if you're interested. If they can confirm something in the Tri-State area, I might see if we can swing them up to Syracuse and Ithaca as well.

Very cool too that they're opening for Salon Victoria in Chicago -- I just wish I could make it to that, as its a band I've wanted to see for some time now.

EDIT: Upon listening to this band.. I've gotta say I'm not entirely impressed. However with a bit of tuning they'd sound about 100% better. Plus the recording quality sucked, so maybe it's not as unimpressive as it sounds.
