Event Description :
Music, poetry and speakers in a gathering to support the fight against racist drug laws and the prison system.
Underground hip-hop, reggae, and world beats, featuring Culture, Akir, Hasan Salaam, Tony Vacca and World Rhythms, Readnex Poetry Squad, Broadcast Live, Spirit Child, Climbing PoeTree, Final Outlaw, Rodstarz.
Speakers include Tony Papa, Nigel Simon, Chino Hardin, Rev. Kenny Glasgow, and Cliff Thornton. Students and artists will speak about how racist policies have affected their lives.
Food and merchandise vendors will have tables. Joining the organizers as endorsers of the event are the NAACP, Democracy Matters and Fahari.
The show is free and open to the public.
