6-10pm in Jamesville DeWitt High School's Large Cafeteria which is on Edinger Drive right off Maple Road near Wegmans DeWitt.
Gina Young will perform for the 6th time, Seth Hebert-Faergolzia of Dufus for his 3rd time, along with many dancers, poets, and musicians from JD.
There is a suggested sliding scale donation starting at $5-infinity.

Funny how certain issues are popping up today when this event is all that's on my mind. I was a member of this group for all 4 years in high school and co-president of it since junior year. The group has been around 9 years, starting as a gay/straight alliance support group in a guidance counselors office and growing into an all encompassing club. Here is our mission statement:

The Acceptance Coalition is a group committed to fighting discrimination, oppression and prejudice in our schools and community. We are a group who promotes acceptance of all people and their beliefs in order to bring them together. We recognize that racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, ageism, religious prejudice and other forms of discrimination and oppression are all connected, and that they are issues that need to be addressed. We wish to be a community resource to offer support and education.

Yeah, they just started one in our school last year. They have regular meetings, but I never seem to make it out.

We've also got Teen Aids Task Force in our school, which seems to be comprised of pretty much all the same people. I was in TAFT for a couple years, but it was one of many clubs I dropped out of this year because life is just crazy.

It sucks that I have to work. I'm taking hours for someone who's done the same for me before. I would love to go.. ::sighs::

At ESM? That's interesting, I think this would be their first endevor into starting an AXCO. The strongest start up has proved to be Baldwinsville, FM has been strong depending on their members, West Genny was promising but we havn't heard from them in awhile. I'll look out for ESM kids tonight.

Yeah, I thought it was really cool when I heard about the meetings and stuff. I really hope that things work out and people keep joining and what not. ESM is far too homophobic for my taste.

Yea it totally slipped my mind until I talked to people today that I do know ESM AXCO. They were at the benefit last year and this dude named Damien is the president and started it up. No one from ESM made it out that I noticed but a ton of Bville people were there.
