CORRECTION: The Aquabats do NOT hate us.

Anyway, tour dates are up, closest they're coming is NYC on June 10th,with Whole Wheat Bread & The Aggrolites.

D'oh.

Quote:
REMEMBER, this isn't the final list of all the dates, so don't get mad as us for not stopping by your town... at least not yet!

You realize that Streetlight was on that tour too.

I doubted a tour that awesome would lower itself to the level of upstate.

I hope there will be an upstate show...NYC is a long drive.
It's kind of a ritual I have that I have to see the bats at least 2 times per tour.

What a silly thread title.

Of course The Aquabats don't hate Upstate NY kids. What a doofus thing to even suggest. You know some kids will believe you on that. I find most of Upstate NY has an inferiority complex and it takes little to tap it.

C'mon Twitch. Bid enough money and they'll happily play Rochester. You have the money and the venues. Syracuse has neither, but I'm sure some kids from Syracuse would travel to Rochester to see The Aquabats. Hell, I'd like to see them myself, finally.

It's the height of silliness for a promoter to bitch that a band isn't playing their town. BOOK THEM ALREADY OR SHUT UP ABOUT IT.

You really think we have the money?

BWAHAHAHA.

Besides I am pretty sure Twitch was only kidding.

BWAHAHAHA.

You have access to a lot more money and better venues than I do. Some of those bigger shows I did, I was leveraged like Enron.

Any idea who brought the 'bats to Xtreme Wheels in '04 or to the Icon last year?

All you needed to do was PM/email/call me and ask if I could change the thread title (or just do it yourself.)

See, Mike got that I was kidding, and that they're out of my league.

I figured I underscored the joke with the "not all dates are set" quotation.

First we're smug, then we're too down on ourselves. Pick a lane.

Anyway, Dave's got the right attitude. A show might work if Mad Dog or Funtime or whoever looks into it.

Hell, I think I'll make some calls, just to find out exactly how much they're asking.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Don't you remember all the hand-wringing I did over The Know How? That was a "measly" $700 for the guarantee, hospitality, openers and venue expenses.

You just stress over it more than I do. But I have no doubt whatsoever your weekly paycheck is bigger than mine and you have access to money I don't have. For everyone that ever offers to help, no one ever comes forward with money, even though it's the biggest element to booking serious shows.

Anyways, I assume The Aquabats are a bit pricey as well, but honestly, I've never asked and they've never been offered to me. Good luck on that. Yeah, those guys in Buffalo seem to have the cash, venues and track record. But if the agent for The Aquabats is talking along the level of The Pietasters, I'd be interested as well.
