Syracuse Ska Forum

It's awesome to see more Syracuse ska bands hit the bar scene. I understand it limits a lot of the regular Syracuse Ska show goers... but it also introduces some kick ass music to a crowd that normally wouldn't hear the music (since Syracuse bar music was once limited to nothing but crappy hard rock).

These bar crowd is surprisingly really open to new music... and the more local bands that play out and impress... the more likely that crowd will start heading out to all ages ska shows throughout the area.

Endive has been playing Bull and Bear Pub in Hanover Square regularly for almost a year now, and the crowds have grown and grown, asking about the music scene and looking to head out to more shows. With The Action! also playing Bull and Bear and other downtown bars, it's for sure that the Syracuse Ska scene will see it's crowds on the rise. We're hoping a few of these bar shows we can actually team up with The Action! like we did a few months ago.

Endive is also offering other area bands to start playing bar shows and see what they might be like. At all of our Bull and Bear Pub gigs we are looking for bands to play with us.
