Sorry that I'm still learning how this program and board work ...

Originally, I had you remote link avatars, those neat little graphics by your user name. I figured that'd be easier.

What I DIDN'T count on is that some of the avatars would be HUGE, such that they distort the pages where they appear. I thought the 80x80 pixel limit applied to remotely linked avatars too, which it apparently does not.

So, until someone explains a better way, I'll have you upload your 80x80 pixel avatars and keep from distorting pages.

I thought it would autoset the size when i uploaded, none such luck it was giant, so i replaced it w/ a cropped tinier version, but thats gone now too.

Don't link to it like before, simply upload it ...

i tried to upload it. it said it must be 6 kb . so i shrunk it to a wicked low res tiny size, 5.9 kb looks like a tiny blurry p.o.s. and it still gives me the error
"must be 6kb "
any suggestions? a

so i just tried another image shrunk it to 5.9 kb
tiny and it still sez:"The avatar image file size must be less than 6 KB"

WTF>?????

Sorry, I really don't understand why you're getting that error message. I'm seeing lots of avatars being uploaded and they all seem fine.

You'll notice that others don't seem to be having this problem.
