So, I remembered hearing there'd be a Bing stop, then I didn't hear anything about it for a while so I just decided to look into it.

It's still listed on the Ska Is Dead III tour dates page:

Quote:
wed
9.21 Johnson City, NY Magic City Music Hall Toasters, Planet Smashers, Westbound Train, Superspecs

But, if you go to the Magic City Music Hall Website You Find the two following quotes:

Quote:
While working on the Air Conditioning System we discovered a Broken Roof Truss. It is going to take us some time to repair the problem. There is nothing more important to us then the safety and comfort of the Fans visiting the Music Hall. In order to complete the Repairs we have had to Cancel and Reschedule all Shows for September.

We have an incredible Fall coming up and look forward to a Grand Re-Opening very soon.

We apologize for any inconveniences this has caused the Fans and Promise a Fall that will not be Forgotten. Stay Tuned for Two Major Concert Announcements for the Magic City Music Hall...........A Hint "Girls just Want to have Fun" and "Come Sail Away"

SKA is Dead
With Special Guest Toasters, Pieasters, Planet Smashers and Mustard Plug
Sept 21
TBA

I don't know what that means exactly? Do you think they're still trying to have it or that they're looking for a new location?

Danny, what do you think the chances of having it moved to 'Cuse would be? Even though Bing is more convenient for me, in the two years I've gone to school in Ithaca, I haven't heard of a ska show in Binghamton at all (except LTJ played a free show at SUNY Bing last semester, but that hardly counts). 'Cuse has a better ska scene I'm sure.

I don't know. Those were just my thoughts and wondering what other people thought/knew about this since with the Know How/Benefits show on the 23rd (and gas prices) i'm not going to go home for the Ska is Dead Three Floors of Ska show at KF and therefore would like to get to another stop on the tour.

I was responding to the venue posting that the show was cancelled. When there is a discrepancy, the venue will be the accurate one.

It's kinda late to re-schedule it in Syracuse. Plus, I always wanted the part of the tour with Mustard Plug included, but that was never offered to Syracuse. And we already have Westbound Train coming to headline already next month.

Oh well ...

Yeah, I'm gonna see what I can do towards catching SID3 in Philly on the 25th. I have an inkling that it won't work out for me, since I'm coming home from Ohio at 7am that morning and it'd be a pain to go from one road trip to another, but it's not like I haven't done it before, so I guess we'll see..

But yeah. Tear. :(

Why not just make it one long road trip and go from Ohio to Philly? WAY less miles...

Well I'm going to Ohio with the Marching Band. We're all on 3 huge travel bus thingers, so there's not really anything I can do about it. There's NO way I'll convince the band director to let me leave with me mums from Ohio to go to Philly, even if she is my own mumsie-dearest.

I wouldn't think that if you were going with your mom (and especially if it was arranged ahead of time), there'd be much they could say about it... Just come up with some bullshit reason why you guys have to go somewhere else at the end.

NOTE NEW LOCATION!!!!

SKA IS DEAD 3

THE TOASTERS, THE PLANET SMASHERS, WESTBOUND TRAIN, THE SUPERSPECS, plus 2 local bands TBA

*this date has been moved from the Magic City Music Hall in Johnson City, NY. A major crack in the structure at Magic City in Johnson City, NY has forced the club to close its doors for 1 month (i'm hearing Oct 7th re-opening) and cancel nearly a dozen major shows.*

Sweet.

Yeah, it sucks for you that it's a wednesday because it's a bit of a trek from Rochester. But, it's awesome for me because it doesn't interfere with my going out and partying on a weekend and is five minutes from my apartment.

So we have no cost for it yet?

Oh, it's in Ithaca, you KNOW I'm there.
