First meeting of the new group - Saturday, August 6th, from 1-3 pm at Java's Cafe 16 Gibbs St, Rochester 14604

We're meeting to exchange information and ideas in order to book shows and build up the Rochester ska scene. Look for a tall bald guy in doc martens:

i'm going to contact john of hoi polloi to see if he wants in, i don't know how much you've got goin but the best ska zine maker in the world should probably be on your side! i'll be at javas at 6 to work, but i'll try and swing by for a bit earlier if i can. i'm just in the middle of moving so it's hard for me to go out until the unpacking and all is done.

Twitch, I'm out of town this weekend, but hopefully someone from skannotto will be there, they all got the email.

Venues: Harmony House, X-Dreams, Steel Music Hall, The Jam Room, Monty's Krown, Bug Jar, The Blue Room, Penny Arcade, Milestones and WaterStreet (a stretch). The Statesmen in Geneseo, Jelly Beans in Geneva

Advertising: You can always use the; Ska Wars: A New Hope for Rochester, logo we came up with.

Sound Equipment: Wish we had a PA we could share, we always rent Mountain Mojo Authority's when it is available. http://www.mojodub.com (check em out!)

Demos, CDs & press kits: You could throw a Rochester Ska bands comp together to give to venues and local media. Press kits a must for bands.

Mrs. Skannotto - CD release party for September?: I hope its done by Sept. We are in the mix down stage right now and have 6 songs done. It's hectic, but the tunes are sounding great! We will keep you posted on this. (the album still needs a name, so if anyone has an idea....)

The Know How in October?: Bring em!! Fill up the opening slots with the Rochester Ska bands.

Other: I think we should get a show together with all of the Rochester Ska bands! That will be a tough one to organize though. Twitch, you up for that?!

I can't make it, but Zane or Matt should be there representin' The Burtones.
