Anyone wanna ride down and back for this?

Henrico County Public Schools Auction

1,000 used iBooks with good specs, one per person, first come, first served. It's been moved to a Richmond VA racetrack, because they've already realized what a dumb mistake they made selling them this cheap (they go for $300+ online normally).

It's gonna be a near riot situation, but hell, I'd be down for trying if anyone else wants to run down and try to score one ...

Ok, originally I asked how far it is...I just looked on Google maps from "Syracuse, NY to Meadowbridge Rd, Richmond VA" is 494 miles, 10 hours and 4 minutes. It is 1 laptop per person, gates open at 7am, sale at 9am..no overnight camping. I wonder what the reality of it is, I would be seriously bummed about the trip if I came home empty handed. Could still be fun though.

They say overnight camping, but you gotta imagine people trying to set up a line or something ahead of time. Plus, it's going to be such a circus as to be amusing in its own right. I have no wheels, but hell, for 50 bucks, this is a good deal if someone has wheels and the willingness to try this ...
