Since Steve's not posting a question (and I *did* know that answer), I'll field a question.

What was the original name of The Scofflaws, which they sold to another band for in the neighborhood of $10,000?

Please tell me I'm not the only one here that knows this one. At the very least, I know I've told the story to some others ...

Hell, I'll make up a few of my own --

Who headlined the LAST Skalloween at Hungry Charlies in Syracuse? Hint: They played across Upstate NY that weekend to critical acclaim, but paltry crowds (don't cheat by looking it up!).

An easier one: What was the first ever big ska "hit" song in the USA?

"My Boy Lollipop" by Millie Small

Umm.

...

What surprising business venture did Buster Bloodvessel of Bad Manners begin in the .. (I think) late '80s or early '90s?

ok this may be cheating but i was reading my MOJO Special SKA edition magazing and this is quoted

"Buster Bloodvessel concurrently ran Bluebeat label, ran for London mayor in 1999, and opened Fatty towers hotel in Margate, serving up 48oz steaks, 5lb meat puddings, and a "Cardiac Cashback" guarantee in the event of a misfortune."

does that count?

ok my question!

Who was the 2-tone character modeled after?

That's a pretty easy one. They also need to say where he got his name ...

I know it was modeled after Peter Tosh.

And I think I remember hearing somewhere that the name came off a bowling shirt. Is that right?

Anyway, I can't come up with more questions at the moment. So I guess I'll leave the floor (so to speak) open for whoever's got one...
