Besides Danny, anyone here remember the olden days (well atleast for me) of the Rocha bands like The Blackouts or The Motives? We were never really that good but man the shows were the best. I miss those times....I wish I could play shows like those ones again....

:( You say stuff like 'the old times' and it makes me feel young. And me feeling young is not a happy thing. Tear.

You say olden times and you make me feel old... AND I'M NOT EVEN OLD.

I always found the Blackouts horridly boring.

But, the Motives usually kept their shows fun and interesting.

Last time I saw them was at the Stag Hotel, and it was a blast.

Oh how I wish that place was still around.

Well I'm guess I'm just getting nostalgic on all your asses. I could even throw in Section8 and my fan page....that was some funny shit.

Well, they never caught on in Syracuse, which always seemed odd, since they were wildly popular in Geneseo and Rochester. I booked them in Syracuse 4 times and still no one much liked them here.

And to go back even further in ancient history, I also booked The Professionals, which was Brian Oster's previous band. Wow. Only Greg Allis, JD, Ras Adam, Larissa and Bill Eppel will remember that band. It'd be really cool if any of them would join us here.

Yeah, they were always a good time. Last time I saw Chris was playing with The Ops at The Stoop downtown. Anyone here know what he's up to these days?

Yeah, the Stag was something else, alright. It really divided the ska scene into those who think seedy is cool and those who don't. About 50/50, as I recall.

Its new incarnation as the Half Penny Pub is a decent place, albeit with a fraction of the old charm. The Benefits played their last show there and it was a blast. We're hoping to maybe get back in there come fall ...
