Anyone else going? I think I'm going to make it to that show. It's my last day of school so yeah. I'm pumped. It'll be my 2nd time seeing them.

:D My dad kicks ass, and as such I totally have a ride. Yay for me! I think Rosie of The Verbs will be with me as well, if I can convince her that it's worth the money. Not that it costs too too much. $15 at the door, right guys?

Well, they are supposed to be absolutely amazing live. I haven't been able to catch them yet and because of my stupid work schedule, I probably won't catch them this time either.

Basically, I can go to either the Big Orange Bonanza -or- Streetlight that week, so I guess that settles it ...

I saw em at Ska is Dead II in Buffalo. They are amazing, but money's tight and it's in the middle of the week.

If I was in Rochester right now it would be no question since the venue is like three minutes from RIT.

I am so friggin happy they are finally hitting Rochester up. Plus the Steel is TERRIBLY small, so it is going to be one sweaty show.

But I am about as pissed because their new cd that I wanted to pick up at this show isn't going to be released until next year.

Why the mixed feelings, if you don't mind me asking?

I spent most of my Ska Weekend trip to Knoxville TN hanging out with various members of the Jersey ska crew and they absolutely worship Streetlight. They told me a ton of stories, including how obvious it is that Tomas is very shocked how big they've become so quickly. He seems very concerned about it, I gather.

His original plan was to re-issue Keasbey Nights in the Streetlight style, but I'm guessing he now realizes how disappointing that'd be. So, if the next album is delayed, it must be to write all new material.

I agree with the Jersey crew. Tomas is brilliant. That's my take on him ...

Update: I'm going and now I'm bringing a 4 person crew of friends with me. Yay for dragging my friends out to shows and making them spend all their money!!!!

Dude, I can't wait to see these guys. I've heard great things of them from Johnny Hero.

I'll definitely be at the Rochester (and Albany) show(s) of the SM tour.

Question: Exactly how small is Steel? Do i need an advance ticket? (aka: should i not rely on soprano?)
